Who's speaking?

Of course, the participants of the workshop are the most important speakers, but we still have some experts giving their input to discussion.
 
Anna Broberg
Anna Broberg is a researcher in the Centre for Urban and Regional Studies (YTK) at Aalto University School of Science and Technology. She will tell us about the research project of Aalto University: Urban Happiness: eco-social sustainability in harmonius city.
 
Martti Tulenheimo
Martti Tulenheimo works as an parliament assistant, but he is also a local cycling activist. He will give us a guided bike tour to show us how cycling has been arranged in Helsinki. Afterwards Martti will lead a discussion about cycling in different cities.
 
Pekka Sauri
Pekka Sauri is a Debuty Mayor of Helsinki. He has a long history in politics, and in 2003 he was elected as a Debuty Mayor of Helsinki for Public Works and Environmental Affairs. Pekka was the very first green politician in Finland to hold that position. In his presentation Pekka will concentrate on public tranport in Helsinki.
 
Pinja Sipari and Jaakko Lehtonen 
Pinja and Jaakko are both active in environmental NGO Dodo ry. In its action Dodo has a global and social view on environmental problems - issues such as urbanism, food and development cooperation are high in Dodo's agenda. Dodo arranges annually an urban festival called Megapolis - this year Megapolis 2025 is arranged with the theme of Rhytms of the Cities. Dodo also maintains many urban agriculture plants in Helsinki. Urban agriculture is a topic we are going to deal more closely with Pinja and Jaakko.
 
Douglas Gordon
Douglas Gordon works as an architect in the City Planning Department of Helsinki. He has been one of the architects of ecologically built city distric of Eco-Viikki. Mr. Gordon will give us a guided bike tour and a presentation of the area and its surroundings. 
 
Ville Ylikahri
As a Secretary General of The Green Cultural Association ViSiLi (Vihreä Sivistysliitto), Ville will give an opening speech in the opening event of the exhibition of European Dream City.
